Seller Assistant
Amazon's AI helper for sellers, built into Seller Central, that answers account questions and can act on listings, prices and inventory once the seller approves.
In practice
Amazon announced on September 23, 2026 that Seller Assistant would gain persistent memory of a seller's pricing patterns and inventory cycles, plus always-on workflows that watch the account in the background. A new Selling Partner plugin also lets sellers use it from outside tools: Amazon Quick, and Claude in beta for US stores. Sellers approve actions before they run, and each interaction keeps an audit trail.
A seller asks the assistant which top products fell below four stars this week, reviews the suggested listing fixes, and approves two of them.
Why it matters
It moves routine account work, such as checking stock, spotting rating drops and adjusting prices, from manual checks to an assistant, while the seller still signs off on every change.
Worth knowing
- Actions need the seller's approval before they are carried out, and every interaction is logged.
- The Selling Partner plugin extends it to Amazon Quick and, in beta, Claude for sellers in Amazon's US stores.
- Limit who can connect it and with what permissions, the same way you would for a new team member.
